Collection: Paintings in the Post

In 2013, after completing a large body of work for an exhibition, Heidi began a daily painting project called Paintings in the Post.

She produced 568 consecutive days of little postcard size oil paint studies before an accident stopped the cycle and took her out of the studio for a period. This body of work resulted in a solo exhibition called ‘365 Days of Paint’.

Paintings from this collection have travelled all over the world to private and corporate collections. Heidi continues to do the occasional small oil paint study, just not every day. She has almost painted 1000 of these little paintings, each one numbered. Heidi shares that these little paint studies keep her artist's eye trained and her skills of observation focused, both critical skills for the artist.

These little paintings are always painted from life and are usually inspired by something in Heidi's home, studio, garden or kitchen.
