Baked Camembert

We love this simple easy version of Baked Camembert. It's a winner for evening drinks, simple lunches or to enjoy just about any time, especially if you love cheese!


- 1 Camembert wheel

- 2 garlic cloves

- 1 T of olive oil 

- 1 T of honey

- 1 T of white rosé wine

- a sprinkle of sea salt flakes

- fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme

- fresh crispy bread to accompany the cheese.

Preheat oven to 180 C.

Place your Camembert wheel in a small round baking dish.

Score the top of the cheese with a sharp knife and insert slivers of garlic clove into the cheese. 

Drizzle with olive oil, wine and honey. Sprinkle with sea salt and place fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary onto the top. 

Place in a hot oven until cheese starts to caramelise slightly on the top and is soft and juicy inside. Serve immediately with a fresh baguette or any soft bread to soak up all the delicious juices.
